Words From My Mom ©

I am tuned to the song of the Universe,
Where the star-misted planets are spread;
In its infinite vastness I lose myself,
But I come back most sumptuously fed.
Edna Hickman Day, Reflections, 1972

This poem was written by my Mom. She lived to be 104 years old.

Star Eater

Albert Einstein thought that a black hole—

A collapsed star so dense that even light

Could not escape its thrall—was too

Preposterous a notion to be real.

Einstein was wrong.
